While we wait in eager anticipation for the reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort and the other area theme parks, we are preparing ourselves for what the future of gift basket delivery may look like and we wanted to share with you what we've been up to and what that means for your currently open order.
Given the severity of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the respect we have for the resorts, their employees, and their guests as well as our wonderful history and ongoing relationship with the resorts, we anticipate that once the properties do re-open, we may not be permitted to return to property right away. That is to say, we see the possibility that when the parks and resorts reopen, there may be very strict limitations on who will be permitted on site right away.
With that in mind, we have been working diligently to find a way to safely and respectfully continue to deliver Disney & Universal themed gifts at an affordable price point while following the recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and local governments and we are excited and happy to share that Shipped Gifts meet all of these criteria!
The World Health Organization (WHO) and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have stated that the likelihood of novel Coronavirus contaminating cardboard or other shipping containers is low. Additionally, our staff are self-quarantining and limiting social exposure, using proper PPE both at work and when running personal errands, we've restricted access to our facility to essential employees only, and we have increased cleaning processes at our facility (and frankly, at home, too!).
After careful and thoughtful consideration, in an effort to limit person-to-person contact we have decided to ship all gifts to recipients. We have carefully chosen and updated a limited number of baskets of our most popular basket into shipped gifts! We are very excited to reveal our new offerings and a more versatile way to gift your clients, friends, and selves with a little magic.
